Research areas

Specialised in the economics of animal health and production, Nicolas Antoine-Moussiaux mainly addresses research themes in developing countries, in Africa, South-East Asia and South America. His research topics are the study of socio-economic conditions of genetic progress and management of farm animal genetic ressources, the development of livestock value chains and the analysis of management systems for animal health. These different topics mobilize participative approaches in the prospect of a better involvement of field actors and a stimulation of interdisciplinarity. Since 2011, he works in close collaboration with the Research Unit « Animal and Integrated Risk Management » (CIRAD, Montpellier, France) on the evaluation of animal health surveillance systems.
